Good day sunshine everyone!

Hello again! Wow, I feel like I’ve been away from blogging forever. I sincerely apologize for that, all 30 people who check this regularly. I don’t really have a specific Beatley plan for this post. I think I’ll just talk about some random stuff for a while and post some cute Beatle pics at the end, okay? Okay. (sorry, I’m still in The Fault In Our Stars mode from last week…)

Monty Python is reuniting for a show in London on July 20th, which will be simulcast in theaters around the country INCLUDING one near me!!! I really hope I can go see it. Please forgive me; I watched a few episodes of Python earlier today and I’m in a very silly mood at the moment.

You know what makes me sad? Ringo is performing in my area twice in the same month, once yesterday and again next week, and I have tickets to neither concert. I don’t really know how those slipped away, and I as a Beatlemaniac am sincerely sorry for not trying harder to get tickets. 😦

A couple of days ago marked the 1 year anniversary since I saw Paul McCartney in concert and he told me he loved me. Let’s relive that glorious moment one more time, shall we?

Wow, it really does not seem like an entire year since I saw Paul in concert. The time has absolutely flown by! I could have sworn that it was just yesterday that I was at the Barclays Center, hearing Paul serenade 16,000 of his closest friends. Good times… Hopefully I will see him again one day.

I also cannot come to terms with the fact that I will be a senior in high school next year. When I started this blog, I was a mere sophomore, an amateur in the world of college and SATs compared to now. It’s going to get crazy, but I promise to keep blogging!

All righty, I think it’s time for those Beatle pictures I promised earlier. Enjoy!

That’s all for now. I swear that it will NOT be a month until I blog again! 🙂
In the meantime, have a lovely weekend and enjoy the start of summer!

Congratulations Paul for FIVE Grammys!!!

I'm so glad they performed together!!! :)

I’m so glad they performed together!!! 🙂

So I know this post is about a week late, but I just wanted to acknowledge that Paul won a total of 5 Grammys last Sunday!!! In case you care, here they all are:
Best Rock Song- Cut Me Some Slack (with Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoselic)
Best Music Film- Live Kisses
Best Surround Sound Album- Live Kisses
Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package- Wings Over America
Best Compilation Soundtrack- Sound City (in which he was involved with “Cut Me Some Slack”)

The Beatles also received the 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award, although I can’t quite figure out why they didn’t win it sooner. Anyway, although I didn’t watch most of the Grammys, I did enjoy watching all of the segments with Paul, Ringo, or even better, BOTH OF THEM TOGETHER!!! Here are some clips from the show if you are interested.

Paul accepting the award for “Best Rock Song” with Dave Grohl, Pat Smear, and Krist Novoselic

I think it’s funny that Paul barely says anything in the acceptance speech. I guess he wanted to give Dave the spotlight, which was pretty considerate and humble of him.

Ringo performing “Photograph”

I don’t know why the critics thought this was boring and a waste of time. Is Ringo the exciting showman that Paul is? Well, no. But is the song great and a well-acknowledged classic? Yes!

And now… The best part of the entire show! Paul AND Ringo performing together on one of Paul’s NEW songs, “Queenie Eye”!

I couldn’t find a good video of this on Youtube, so just scroll down here for the video. Obviously, this was by far my favorite moment of the show. I sort of wish they did more than one song, but I guess that’s what the Ed Sullivan special is for!!! Next weekend is sure to be a great weekend, what with the 50th anniversary of the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show and all, so be on the lookout for some celebratory posts!

Well, needless to say, overall the Grammys this year made me very happy! I think I will do a post about my top 10 solo Beatles albums tomorrow. Enjoy the weekend!

Wink wink, nudge nudge, they’re back!!!!

I just love them. They are so brilliant and silly.

This will be a quick post, but I just had to write something very exciting about my other favorite British ensemble, Monty Python! I saw a quote from Eric Idle a couple of weeks ago saying that there was a very big Python announcement coming up, and a few days ago, my dad emailed me this article:
http://news.yahoo.com/monty-python-reunite-show-30-years-110816721.html
In case you somehow can’t access this article, I’ll sum it up for you… MONTY PYTHON IS FINALLY REUNITING ON STAGE!!!!!!! YES!!!!!!!
Granted, this could just be a one-time thing, but I have high hopes that this will turn into a tour of some sorts, maybe to places besides London… Maybe even across the pond to New York… You never know! I can’t even fathom how jubilant I would feel if I got to see 5 out of the 6 original Python members (RIP Graham Chapman) on stage together for a show. It would probably be the silliest night of my life. But just the thought that they are back together for a little while makes me very happy!
If you live near the London area, and you like Monty Python, do not miss this show at the O2 Arena next July!!!
Enjoy the rest of the weekend!
